Hello everyone,
I went to bed fairly late last night and I really wish I was still sleeping. The heaters in East have this issue where they make this banging sound pretty much the whole time they are on. It is extremely annoying. Its hard to go to sleep while this banging keeps going on. I can usually get to sleep at night when I am really tired. However, when I would like some more sleep but do not feel really tired its hard to get to sleep.
I was looking on craigslist yesterday and found a guitar for 30 bucks. I really hope that Kacie can get it today. The guitar is in asheville so I cannot get it. If I was in asheville I would have went to get it last night because I would love to have another guitar. Now I just have to hope she can get it. Though, if she gets it i'll be super thankful to her.
This thanksgiving I"ve felt like the most wasteful person ever. The showers in east take forever to heat up when no one else is using them. During the normal school year its not an issue because theres almost always someone else taking a shower. When there is only 7 people in the dorm (like during this break) the water takes so long to heat up. I literally turn on the water and wait for 30 minutes only to find it still luke warm. Super frustrating.
Thanks all for reading,
Aaron

Thanksgiving Break
Today begins the week of Thanksgiving Break (not technically a week, only till Sunday). Usually I would go home with one of my two best friends, Kacie or Cara. However, Kacie is going to Indiana and Cara has other various circumstances going on right now. So, I will just be sitting here in Boone doing homework. I hope to get quite a bit accomplished. The main thing I want to do is to fill out the international education scholarship. If I got the grant from international education, and a scholarship I could pay barely anything for Korea. That is the goal. I also need to learn several songs in guitar, memorize some french, and hopefully do some relaxing. I imagine though that sitting here in Boone with absolutely no one for a long time is eventually going to work on my sanity.
Thanks for reading,
Aaron

tutoring
well, right now im waiting for my tutee. it turns out that this particular student has come less than she has skipped. its really starting to get frustrating because i get paid when she comes. when she doesnt i just get paid for the 15 mins i sat there. its really a waste of my time though. i suppose i could bring my laptop and work on stuff while i wait but besides that theres not much i can do. oh well. ive only got a few more sessions with these tutees. next semester im going to try and tutor more piano less other subjects. im still anxiously awaiting my notice if ive gotten the grant! oh and i apologize for the lack of grammar and capitalization, i typed this on my phone.

Korea
Hello All,
I would like to thank all of my loyal readers. I was looking at my stats and it appears that there are quite a few of you. So once again thanks for tuning in. We had a meeting today talking about Korea. It is going to be really exciting. We are going to be there for 10 days. Activities include: seeing a korean music therapist work, cultural explorations, attending the conference, riding the metro, and many other exciting things. I'm quite excited.

Busy Days
Well, I was quite busy yesterday and did not have a chance to update the blog. However, since I have some time now I will go ahead and do that. Yesterday I did quite a lot. I started off with work at 10. If you have never worked in a dishroom, let me tell you it is absolutely the most fun thing in the world. Granted, that is if you find touching other peoples food to be fun. I personally do not. Despite it not being fun, it does pay. Since my coemployees often spend most of their time chatting outside the dishroom I usually just sing opera and all my rep pieces (I don't think I have mentioned this yet, but I am studying classical voice here at App). After work Kacie and I hung out for awhile before driving to Marion to give her mom some keys. Then we had a delicious taco bell dinner and came back to east for The Office viewing and other unproductive events. Needless to say, lots of fun.
Now for today. It is only 10:30 in the morning and I have already done a ton of things. I've composed my finale project, written a song for music in special ed, completed my experience for music in special ed, and worked on my composition for guitar. Oh, and I've also started on some much needed laundry!

Friday
Fridays are always long days. I wake up Friday morning at 4:30 in order to go to work at 5. Trust me, the last thing I want to do at 5 in the morning is work. However, I am trying to go to Korea this summer. Seoul, Korea is hosting the World Federation Music Therapy Congress, this only happens every three years. This blog is in part helping support me going to Korea by simply letting folks know about my journey going to Korea. This opportunity is really going to be a great chance for me to learn even more about music therapy. I'll post more about it as the weeks go on, but thanks for supporting me and following me!
